FORMER VIRGINIA GOVERNOR INDICTED

Former Republican Governor Bob McDonnell has been indicted on Federal Corruption charges for accepting bribes while serving in office. He has rejected a "plea" deal which would have spared his wife from facing similar criminal charges. A Federal Grand Jury indicted McDonnell and his wife on 14 counts related to "Gifts" the couple accepted from a businessman looking fro "favors" from The McDonnell Administration.

McDonnell insists he did nothing illegal. A U.S. District Judge denied a request from five former Virginia attorneys general to dismiss corruption charges filed against the former Republican Governor. The McDonnells have pleaded "not guilty" to all charges.
