"Deeds" Country is Republican

The Republican Virginia turned out to vote
in a G.O.P. "sweep" which ended eight years of Democratic Government in Virginia.
Creigh Deeds, who won the Democratic primary, failed to inspire the Virginians who voted for Obama in the previous election.

The Democratic candidate refused to embrace The National Democratic Agenda
regarding Health Care, Workers' rights, reducing America's dependence on oil,
and curbing toxic emissions, all opposed by The Republican party.

Meanwhile, affluent suburbanites allied with "redneck" extremists
banded together to form the usual Republican coalition of intimidation to silence dissent and coerce independents to make Virginia safe for overpaid CEOs.
The overall centerpiece of The Republican Agenda, as usual, was "Drilling" for Oil, this time off the coast of Virginia.

Republicans increased their majority in  The House of  Delegates,
ending Democratic hopes of reforming the distorted voting districts established by Republicans to their party's advantage.

The Economy was the main issue on voters' minds in Virginia.
The Democratic Party of Virginia failed to make it the focus of The Campaign by reminding Virginians of The Fact:  Republican policies
and deregulation caused The Great Recession.

However, demoralized Virginia Democrats need to bear in mind
The State hasn't elected a governor from the same political party as a sitting president of  The United States since The Nixon Administration.

The Lesson to be learned by The Democratic Party of Virginia
is voters crave "new" leadership, not the usual party hacks,
and Democratic candidates won't win running as Republican "Lite" "politicians".
